This lovely little restaurant is the second of three for Chef Brian Hill. Brian ownes Francine’s Bistro and SeaBright Pizza in the downtown of Camden Maine. Sheperd’s Pie is in Rockport, only about 2 miles from our bed and breakfast. I like this place because the menu is fancy pub food. I love the ribs and fried chicken, Jes loves the hamburger. You will see lots of locals here. The bar is great and the view from the back of the restaurant over Rockport Harbor is perfect. The kitchen is open so you can watch the cooks at work – the kids like it, better than tv. Here is a link to their facebook page and menu. This restaurant is along the “most Beautiful Walk in the World” route. We cautiously recommended Shepard’s Pie. When the food is good, it is very very good, but sometimes it falls short of perfect. Not sure why there is no consistency here. http://www.facebook.com/#!/notes/shepherds-pie/our-menu/156595567723216
The name of the restaurant is not for the dish Shepard’s Pie (which is on the menu) but because the buikding the restaurant is in is the Shepard Building, look at the outside of the building and you will see the name Shepard on it.
